Benjamin Passmore Hotel

101 W. Broadway, Harrodsburg, KY

The Passmore Hotel was a small, family run operation that was a stopping place for stages coming from Louisville. From its construction ca. 1843-49, it served a limited clientele, almost exclusively travelers on the toll road. The property has passed through many hands and known many names, serving at one time or another as hotel, stage coach stop, boarding house, and grocery. The two story L-shaped structure was modified in the early 20th century by the creation of a recessed entrance and bricking up some windows. A two story wood porch, once an access point to guest rooms, has been enclosed.
