Burris House
701 Kirkwood Road, Salvisa, KY
Burris House, built in 1870, is architecturally significant as an example of how Mercer County builders used elements of both Greek Revival and Italianate styles to ornament a single pile, central passage house. Greek Revival elements can be found in the pilasters on the corner of the house, portico and wide cornice. The elements of Italianate style are found in the wide eaves and brackets and low hip roof.
