Froman-McCann Farm

532 Bailey Pike, Harrodsburg, KY

The Froman-McCann Farm is a well-preserved example of an agricultural complex that represents, through its architecture, adherence to nationally fashionable architectural style (Italianate), expression of an agricultural prosperity and membership within the middle class rural elite. Contributing elements to this nomination include a house, a bank barn, a meat house, and rock fences. The Froman-McCann house began as a late18'*’century single-pen log house and evolved into a log dogtrot house before being finally transformed into its present appearance as a central-passage home with Italianate decorative features.
