Peter Dunn House (Lone Pine)
360 Hudson Rd, Harrodsburg, KY
The Dunn House, or Lone Pine, was built in 1825 by Peter Dunn, a prominent Mercer County citizen and businessman. Dunn was involved in banking, horse breeding and owned a large pork packing plant in Oregon on the Kentucky River. He also operated a hemp business in McAfee. He furnished the land and a large portion of the funds for the construction of the New Providence Presbyterian Church. The house, built on the central passage plan, consists of Flemish bond brick. The side wings of the house were added in 1840.
